Why Use This Section?
The Nutraceuticals section streamlines how you view, manage, and prescribe nutraceutical products for your patients—all in one place. It enables:
Efficient tracking of active products and scheduled refills.
Quick resolution of pending actions (e.g., payment or approval).
Review of order history for full traceability.
The convenience to start new nutraceutical prescriptions directly from the patient record, fully integrated with the broader prescription module.
Navigating to the Nutraceuticals Section
Open the Patient Record.
Select the 📷 Nutraceuticals tile from the patient dashboard.
The section opens with four key tabs: Products, Scheduled Orders, Order History, Pending Orders.
Tab Summaries
1. Products
View all nutraceuticals associated with the patient.
Use the search bar or status filters (Active, Draft, Scheduled, Completed, Stopped).
Click on a product to see dispensing details, history, and actions.
Start new prescriptions via Create Prescription.
Actions available:
Resume Prescription
Stop / Stop & Renew
Complete or Discard
2. Scheduled Orders
Displays all upcoming or recurring nutraceutical orders.
Manage refill dates by selecting a new schedule with the date picker.
View next refill date and status.
Mark orders as Complete or Stop.
3. Order History
Provides a full record of completed and cancelled nutraceutical orders.
Supports searching and filtering by product, date, or status.
Clicking an entry shows the prescription and invoice documents.
4. Pending Orders
Lists unresolved or pending nutraceutical orders.
Actions available include:
Reschedule
Refresh Prescription
Hold or Cancel
Send to Patient
View Invoice
Creating a Nutraceutical Prescription
From the Products tab, click Create Prescription.
Browse catalog options by supplier (e.g., Metabolic Code, EVEXIAS Health Solutions).
Select product(s), dosage, and frequency.
Add products to the cart and continue.
Checkout and Order Configuration
When finalizing nutraceutical orders:
Dosage & Frequency: Select capsules per dose and frequency (e.g., 2 capsules, once daily).
Dispense Type: One-time order or Auto Order (refills).
Drop Ship: Select delivery option (e.g., Monthly, Next Day Delivery).
Checkout Summary
View patient details, subtotal, and shipping address.
Apply discounts (5%–50%) and mark for future refills.
Choose payment method (credit card on file).
Available checkout actions:
Process (auto-generate invoice and charge)
Send to Patient (generate invoice with patient link)
Save Draft (invoice generated but not charged)
Schedule Order (future order on selected date)
Key Fields and Actions
Product Name, Dosage, Frequency (displayed per product)
Status: Active, Draft, Scheduled, Completed, Stopped
Search Bar: Search across products/orders
Order Actions: Complete, Stop, Reschedule, Hold, Cancel, etc.
Document Links: View/download prescription and invoice
Best Practices & Tips
✅ Always filter by status (Draft/Active/Pending) to keep the list manageable.
✅ Use Scheduled Orders to prevent missed refills.
✅ Leverage Order History to quickly verify compliance and billing.
✅ Always confirm the dispense type (One-Time vs Auto Order) before checkout.
✅ Apply discounts carefully; verify if they should extend to future refills.
✅ Encourage patients to save a preferred credit card to avoid delays in processing.
✅ Use Send to Patient for flexible billing when immediate processing isn’t required.
