Managing Practice Users

Manage practice staff access and customize practitioner availability

Updated over 8 months ago

Limit Prescriptive Authority

As a practitioner, you have the ability to Enable / Disable your staff from having prescriptive authority on behalf of the providers. This allows practitioners to delegate access to their staff to create a prescription on their behalf.

  1. Navigate to the "Administration" section by clicking on the

tab at the top of the platform.

  2. Select "Practice Users" from the list of options on the left.

  3. To the right of each user is a checkbox with the caption "Deny Prescribe Rx". When checked, the corresponding user has their prescriptive authority revoke. Unchecking this box enables prescriptive authority for the corresponding user.

  4. Changes are automatically saved.

Manage Practitioner Availability

It’s important to establish practitioner availability because it creates the time slots that patients can book for their appointments. Without defined availability, the scheduling system cannot generate accurate openings, leading to confusion, overbooking, or missed opportunities for care. Setting availability ensures that patient appointments align with when providers are actually working, making scheduling more efficient, reducing errors, and improving the overall patient experience.

  1. Navigate to the "Administration" section by clicking on the

tab at the top of the platform.

  2. Select "Practice Users" from the list of options on the left.

  3. For the user you wish to define availability, click "Calendar" to the far right.

  4. Click on the "Set Availability" button to the far right of your screen under the calendar.

  5. In the popup window, click "Add New Hour" to add a custom timeframe.

    1. Select the corresponding days of the week that this time frame will correspond to.

    2. Set "Opening Time" and "Closing Time".

    3. If you need to add additional time frames, click the "Add New Hour" button.

    4. Click "Save" when finished defining your availability.

Add Days Off

Blocking availability and setting days off is essential for maintaining an accurate and reliable schedule. It ensures that patient appointments are not booked during times when a practitioner is unavailable—such as for vacations, personal time, administrative work, or training.

  1. Navigate to the "Administration" section by clicking on the

tab at the top of the platform.

  2. Select "Practice Users" from the list of options on the left.

  3. For the user you wish to set days off, click "Calendar" to the far right.

  4. Click the "New Day Off" button to the far right of your screen below the calendar.

  5. Enter a Description.

  6. Set the "Start Date" and "End Date".

    1. If you wish to block an entire day, check the box for "All Day".

    2. If this is for a select time frame, uncheck the "All Day" box.

    3. Enter a "Start Time" and "End Time".

    4. If you need to add other hours on the same day, click the "+" symbol to add additional time frames.

    5. Click "Save".
