Labs can be purchased individually or as part of a combo (multiple lab tests). Our platform allows you to select from commonly used combos as well as create your own custom lab combos.
NOTE: Labs do not support Client Pay in NY / NJ / RI and therefore if the patient resides in any of these states, Insurance Pay is the ONLY available option.
Placing a new Lab Order
The ordering of labs originates within a patient record. In order to get started you will want to:
Navigate to a patient record. You can access your list of patients by clicking on "Patients" in your top navigation bar. From here you can scroll through your patients or type their name in the box to search by name.
Select the "Labs" application by clicking on the
icon.Click on the "+ Create New Laboratory Order" button in the lower right hand corner of your screen.
Select the "Practitioner" from the drop-down box under "Practitioner".
Select the corresponding "Bill To" option that you wish to use:
Patient - Patient will be prompted to enter their credit card information or use credit card information on file to process the order.
Practice - if you have a Practice Credit Card on File, the order will be processed using this credit card.
3rd Party / Insurance - use the Patient's Insurance to pay for the order. It's important that you add the patient's insurance information prior to processing the order. Also note that a patient may get balance billed if their insurance does not provide full coverage.
Click "
" in order to apply the necessary ICD-10 Codes to the order. This is not required for cash labs but is required if you selected Bill to 3rd Party / Insurance.Select which Laboratory you wish to use from the "Select Laboratory" drop-down.
Select the "Draw Blood in Office" if you are wishing to draw the blood in-office.
If selected, a new box will appear to select a draw date and time.
Select any combo you wish to order from the list of "Combos".
You can click on the
icon in order to view which tests are included in the combo. You can also edit which tests are included in the combo from the administration screen.
If you wish to add any additional lab testing you can click on the
button to add additional testing. Search for individual tests by typing a keyword into the search box.
Select the desired additional testing that you wish to order.
Click "Accept"
Click on the
button to complete the lab order.You can expect the Lab Requisition to be available within a few minutes under "Labs".
Cancelling a Lab Order
In order to cancel a lab order, we must process this behind the scenes. If you wish to cancel a lab order, please create a ticket and our Customer Support Team will be happy to assist you.
